Drabble Batch – Fingering Weight
$26.00 – $29.00
Born of happy accidents, flukes of fancy, and/or leftover dye stock from my repeatable colors, my “drabble batches” are limited, non-repeatable skeins of yarn. A drabble is a really short, 100-word work of fiction meant as an exercise to test the author’s ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas within a confined space. I think that’s a pretty appropriate name for these colorways.

This hand-dipped variegated yarn knits up in painterly stripes of varying subtlety, just like the fur of my favorite familiar beasts. Although I’ve dyed this yarn in small matching batches, no two skeins will be exactly the same …that’s also true for every animal I’ve known and loved. When working with my yarn, look forward to ribbons of alternating hues, beautiful color pooling, and whimsical resist marks.
*base yarn is spun from organic wool and pre-treated with an organic compound to prevent felting in the wash. The dyes I use are not organic, however, I always work with the earth and her creatures in mind.
